What a summer!
In 2026, The Canadian Glove Museum was proud to get out into our surrounding communities while also welcoming families to Point Leamington for free events at the museum.Out in Our Communities.
Our team hit the road this summer, attending community celebrations throughout Central Newfoundland. We shared the story of the museum, met new people, gave away museum merchandise and encouraged visitors to discover Point Leamington and Newfoundland's unique glove-making history.You may have spotted us at: Springdale Canada Day, Point Leading Festial, Peterview Festival, and the Leading Tickles Festival.
Back at the museum, our outdoor movie nights brought families and friends together for evenings under the stars. Admission and popcorn were free, with plenty of blankets, lawn chairs and even a few sparklers making their way onto the museum grounds.Our 2026 movie lineup included:Elio, Paddington in Peru, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Super Mario Bros.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our festival booths, attended a movie night, visited the museum or helped spread the word throughout the summer. We loved being part of the community in 2026 and look forward to creating even more reasons to visit, gather and celebrate together in the years ahead.
