EXCELLENT Based on 64 reviews Trina RJuly 11, 2025Verified Go Here! It's more than you expect! I will be honest. We stopped only for a photo opp with a glove museum. The thought of a glove museum seemed hilarious. However, what was a quick stop turned into a 1.5 hour tour. It's both a museum and a factory. We loved it. By chance we were matched with the I incredible Pauline for the tour. First, let me say the pride in her work radiates with every word. From the museum where you learn some history, view gloves of famous folks -Elvis, Marlin Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and David Suzuki to name a few. You also learn about the specialized processes in this local NL company! Who knew that they can create enough "yarn" to circle the world twice in 24 hours! Then came the factory tour. We met all the staff, learned all the machines, and just had a ball! What a group! We joked and learned so much. What started as a photo op turned into a great adventure- all thanks to Pauline. I can't say enough words of thanks. Paula RJune 17, 2025Verified Hometown proud Throughly enjoyed our visit to the glove museum with my mom who was one of the earliest employees. Our tour guide, Pauline Warford, was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts about the whole process. She made it very interesting and answered all of our questions. Imagine gloves own by famous people and items 200-500 years old . Yarn/thread being made and used in the plant, and being shipped as far as Honduras!! Make sure you stop and visit!! Daphne BOctober 1, 2024Verified Impressive We were very impressed by the thoroughness of the tour, which highlighted each step in their manufacturing process. It is wonderful that the hard working people of the area can find employment they can take pride in!! We've recommended the tour to many friends and family Jane HSeptember 25, 2024Verified Time well spent and worth every moment What a wonderful surprise this whole visit was. Only popped in to see the museum and we got a full tour of the production area which was fascinating. Who knew there was so much technical expertise required and gloves made for just about every eventuality. This really was a memorable moment in our Canadian trip. Benjmain OSeptember 15, 2024Verified Glove museum is a must visit! My dad and I recently visited the glove museum, and had an awesome tour with the tour guide Catherine! (Who just happens to be my sister.) The museum had many interesting artifacts that document the history and development of glove manufacturing. Lots of items you can’t see anywhere else! Even as someone who’s worked at the glove factory in the past, there was so much to learn on the factory tour. Grateful we got chance to do a tour before the summer ended, and with my sister as the tour guide. Thanks Catherine! Abbey SSeptember 13, 2024Verified Hidden Gem! The Canadian Glove Museum in Point Leamington is a fantastic surprise! I didn’t expect to be so intrigued, but the exhibits are incredibly well-done and full of fascinating history. From fashion to functionality, you learn so much about the evolution of gloves. The interactive displays and passionate staff make the experience engaging from start to finish. It’s a unique stop, and if you’re in Newfoundland, it’s absolutely worth a visit. You’ll walk away with a whole new appreciation for something we all use but rarely think about! Angie WSeptember 9, 2024Verified Two Glove Thumbs UP! After many years of driving past the glove factory and wondering what went on inside, this was our 1st visit. Wow, we were impressed! Our sweet and knowledgeable hostess, Phoebe started our tour started at the glove museum. So interesting to see the different celebrity's gloves on display (such as Elvis's war gloves!) And the history and processes of the glove factory. Next we went into the actual factory to see gloves and fibers being made. There is a bee hive of activity happening there! They make much of their own fibres into yarn to produce their gloves. In 24 hrs they make enough yarn to go around the world 1.5 times. Wow.We also learned about materials, processes and machinery as we visited each dept. If you havent yet, you should go. We would highly recommend visiting the factory. We enjoyed it and was super interesting and impressive too. Jack BAugust 22, 2024Verified Amazing Always knew the glove museum was a big employer in Point Leamington but this was really surprising, tour guide was extremely friendly and helped us lots. Thelma LAugust 20, 2024Verified Amazing and unbelievable! Amazing museum and factory. We visited the museum and had a very informative tour with Carolyn. After the tour she then took us to the factory and it was mind blowing. The machinery and technology is beyond words, and the safety taken to protect the employees was impressive. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful to us. Would like to give a big thank you to Carolyn, Eve and especially Madonna, who went over the top to help us. This museum/factory and Point Leamington is a must see!! RisibleMAugust 16, 2024Verified Glove Love 💕🧤 💕🧤The glove museum and tour are very interesting! The care gone into every detail of the museum and the factory tour (showing the car gone into every detail of each glove!) was amazing. I would have never thought that a glove museum and factory could be so impressive, but we did the tour in July with 11 of us (three generations) and everyone loved it! The little gift counter has some cool unique souvenirs available, too. Pt Leamington is a beautiful town, so if you’re in central and want to see something different, we recommend checking this place out!I have these same gloves (see pic) and still use them every winter! 😍(There’s a FB contest on right now, hoping for a chance to win a gift card! 🤩)
